Good job with this precious gem. If only you made this 2 months ago, back then all the authentication libraries for phpbb were for phpbb2 which utilizes a simple md5 call. Nowadays they have a hashing algorithm made from scratch and that was a bit of a pain to rewrite in Ruby.

Awesome stuff, kudos for that. I also have a pretty large phpbb3-based forum (that’s been running for ~3 years now) and would love to write rails applications for this community that could use at least the same login.

I’ve been also trying to give phpbb3 some webservice possibilities (http://github.com/tomash/phpbb3_webservices/tree) and maybe you’d be interested in it?
